Your Success Is Our Priority

We believe that success starts with relationships, and we understand that getting healthy is more than just eating well and exercising. This is why we get to know more about people than just their physical health.

Through one-on-one conversations and assessments, we learn about health risks and concerns — and we find out what other things in your life may make it difficult for you to get healthy and stay healthy.

Every year, we will work with you to set small but realistic health goals for yourself.

We will help you get the support you need to move past barriers like childcare and transportation so you can reach your health goals.

The Continuous Health Improvement (CHI) Program

Members of the Enhanced Plan will be enrolled in this program. The first step is working with our health coach to create your own Comprehensive Health Improvement Plan, which includes specific yet realistic health goals.

The CHI program also requires that you attend health education courses each year. Below is a list of our current courses. Please contact us for details about when they are offered.

Health Education Courses

Health is more than just eating well and exercising, it also includes understanding the struggles and barriers that hinder our success at meeting goals.  This is why we have integrated the Domains of Health within everyone’s wellness plan.

This class explores the many reasons and the science behind why we use this whole-person approach —  as well as the successes we have seen in our CHI program thus far.

Stress is an automatic physical and emotional response that occurs both in acute and chronic trends. This class may help one identify personal stressors and reflect on both current and possible future stress management strategies.

This class offers a more  holistic approach to managing everyday stress.

Like the Stress Management course, this mindfulness class promotes deep breathing exercises. We also  practice mediation towards the end of the class.

The gut microbiome is a very complex and crucial component relating to multiple functions within our body.

Trillions of microorganisms are housed within our gut which help support immunity, metabolism, nutritional functions, and more.

This class provides the basics of our microbiome as well as ways we can support the bacteria within for optimal wellness.

Note: This course is not meant to diagnose or treat any conditions, so before making any dietary changes, always consult with your doctor or a medical professional.

Learn how to become present when eating, in a  non-judgmental way. This habit is critical to help you form optimal nutritional habits.

This course will discuss what mindful eating is, and how it is different from dieting. We will also explore ways you can improve your food and eating choices to  make mealtime more enjoyable and satisfying.

This workout class will teach you a variety of exercises that you can do at home, without the use of expensive equipment or a gym membership.

The first 15 minutes of this class involves a warmup with dynamic stretching, followed by a 30-minute full body workout and a short cool down to finish it off. All excercises can and will be adjusted to each members needs to ensure safety.

*Members will be asked to sign a liability form before the start of the class.

For those who prefer to be outdoors to get exercise, this is your best option! Each walk/hike will take about 45-60 minutes, but can be shortened if need be.

We are lucky enough to be surrounded by many beautiful outdoor parks and trails, which means we hike around the Muskegon area. Currently, our hiking locations include Hoffmaster State Park, Lake Harbor, Ottawa Sands, and Coast Guard, but this is not a fixed list.

We are always open to new suggestions for upcoming hikes!

Note: Hikes are offered year-round, weather permitting.

*Members will be asked to sign a liability form before the start of the hike.

This class is held in November and December, the time of year when many are celebrating the holidays with family, friends, and tasty food!

You will learn tips and tricks for practicing moderation when it comes to treats, and keeping healthy during the holiday season. You will also come away with some healthy holiday recipes that are quick and simple to make!

Upcoming classes include: Yoga with Jonquil Norman from Muskegon Yoga, Gut Health Part II, and Intro into Holistic Medicine
