Access Health

Access Health is a “community-based program” and works in partnership with the following community resources to best utilize programs that already exist and to enhance health care benefits to members. We partner with existing resources and create other programs to provide a comprehensive program.

Public Health-Muskegon:
209 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442

Flu Shots- Members may obtain a flu shot at no cost from the Public Health-Muskegon office (Muskegon Health Department) and Mercy Health Partners VNS Homecare & Hospice.  Access Health has made special arrangements with Public Health-Muskegon and VNS so that members can receive a flu shot at no charge. Flu shots are not a covered benefit if delivered by any other physician, clinic, hospital or any other medical provider. Also, only the shot, not the spray is covered.

Click here for information about the Swine Flu in English and Spanish.

Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program- BCCSP is managed by the Muskegon County Health Department and open to women age 40 and older, subject to income and family size criteria. The eligibility requirements and benefits are set by the Muskegon County Health Department, not Access Health, Inc., and are subject to change at their discretion. BCCSP may cover clinical breast exams, diagnostic mammograms, pelvic exams, pap smears and certain diagnostic tests for women that qualify. If you qualify, you must participate in this program and are required to register annually by calling 231-724-1286.

The seminar starts on the first Tuesday of each month and meets at the Health Department 209 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442. Periodically, this class meets at other times and locations.
